Dispensary delivery manifest review workflow

Delivery Operations

A manifest review connects the planned movement with what was actually handed off. The reviewer should be able to identify the route, records, exceptions, and final disposition.
Record the route or delivery reference, date, authorized driver or team, origin, destination, products, quantities, and required approvals. Compare the manifest with the dispensary product return process when an item is returned or refused. Log receiving discrepancies in the receiving exception log.
At handoff, record the permitted identifiers, time, condition, discrepancies, and signatures or system confirmations required by policy. Do not backfill a signature or infer receipt from a message that does not confirm it.
Separate missing information, quantity mismatch, damaged product, delay, and security concern. Assign an owner and escalation level for each. Keep the original manifest unchanged and attach the correction note.
Limit access to route and customer information. The Virginia Cannabis Control Authority is a useful authoritative source for Virginia regulatory context; confirm the current requirements that apply to the operation.
Mark the manifest complete only after required records are present and exceptions have a disposition. Review repeated discrepancies by route, shift, or handoff point.
