DispensaryVA provides administrative support only. Licensed operators, authorized managers, and qualified professionals retain all regulatory, product, clinical, financial, and legal decisions.

Published October 12, 2026. Route system, file, location, and vendor access requests through role-based approval, verification, and expiry.

Inventory access types

Separate point-of-sale administration, scheduling, documents, customer support, vendor portals, building areas, surveillance, inventory systems, and shared mailboxes. Each type should have an owner, allowed roles, authentication rule, and review cadence.

Collect a complete request

Require named user, business purpose, requested role, location, start date, end or review date, manager, system owner, and sensitivity. An assistant may validate completeness but cannot approve its own access or expand scope without the named authority.

Use least privilege

Grant only what current responsibilities require and use individual credentials wherever possible. Shared accounts and emergency access belong in an exception register with compensating controls, expiry, and post-use review.

Verify before closure

Confirm the account or badge belongs to the intended person, the assigned role matches approval, multifactor authentication is configured where required, and the user knows the incident path. Receipt of an invitation is not proof of correct access.

Reconcile changes

Trigger review after transfers, leave, contract changes, and offboarding. Track expired approvals, unused accounts, broad roles, and failed removal evidence. The matrix should make authority visible without disclosing credentials or sensitive security details.

Responsible use

This material supports lawful administrative operations only. It does not replace jurisdiction-specific legal, regulatory, safety, security, privacy, tax, labor, or professional review. Remote support should work only within written permissions and should never direct regulated product handling or transactions.
